Fun Times with Friends

We have been pretty busy all summer, so it was VERY nice to relax and do a couple of fun things around town with our church family. A couple of weeks ago, we went to a Joe McDermott concert. He's a silly man in a white undershirt and guitar, who was so funny, he had even us mothers laughing! (yes, he had pants on!) Anyway, I always take these 'first moments' for my boys to heart, and I was touched to see Jace have this new experience and thoroughly enjoy himself...singing and dancing with his friends. (Megan, I don't know how my camera didn't snap shots of you and your cuties!!!...must be a defect in the camera. :) Glad ya'll were there.)

We also finally made it to another Express game. Jace got to enjoy the game with his buddies, Brinton and Griffin. They had some fun times that night: They got to meet "Spike the baseball dog", as Jace calls him, and get his autograph, take a picture in front of Spike's doghouse, one of the Express pitchers threw the boys (and Lucy) baseballs from the bull pen, and they got to play the pitching and batting games, not to mention it was 'dollar dog' night and as you can see, Brinton really enjoyed his. :) I feel so blessed when we spend time with church family. I wish I would get us to do it more.
