BUNGEE JUMPING??!!!

Well he finally did it. Before our church friends joined us at the Express game (see previous post), Jace tried his hand (or legs) at bungee jumping. It has taken three baseball seasons to get to this. The first season, he wasn't heavy enough. The next season, even though he'd been weighing himself every other day in anticipation and excitement, he just couldn't bring himself to do it. This season, there was no hesitation. That brave boy got right up there and enjoyed every minute of it! After the first bounce, I was so worried. I thought he'd either throw up or start crying to get down. Not a chance. By the second bounce, the shocked look was gone, replaced by one of determination. No, he didn't crack a smile, but he loved it. He told us later that he wasn't scared, but he felt hungry each time he started to free fall. We told him that was called, butterflies in your stomach. Proud of you, boy!
