Playing in the Mud

The other night, I was wondering what Kendall could possibly be doing outside after he had mowed. It had been dark out for an hour or so. I found him covered in mud, (more so than he looks in the picture) and performing what looked like root surgery on our poor ash by the shed. The tree's dying anyway, so this was Kendall's last-ditch effort to save it. Working in the yard is like 'playtime' for this man.
