This Weekend

Here's a little of what we did this weekend...it's been a good one:
It started with a fun day of playing in the leaves with Jace on Thursday (see previous post). That night, Kendall and I went on a double date! I felt like a young couple again..he,he.

Friday, I had a good visit with a dear Christian sister. Kendall came home EARLY! (3:30) Kendall and Jace played "bad guy/ good guy" for an hour outside. Later Friday night, while Kendall roasted smores for us over the open fire pit, Jace and I played a silly game of "bomb squad" in the back yard. This involved us dropping bombs (sports balls) into a bucket. The force of the "explosions" would then send us flying and falling all over the back yard. Once we had gone through every bomb, we'd dump them out and start over.

Saturday, we did some Christmas shopping as a family. It was nice, but I REALLY liked decorating the tree with Jace (tonight). He hung 3/4 of the tree decorations on the bottom right portion of the tree, (while I was cooking supper) and said, "Mom, you've got to come and see this! It looks great!" Jace was so excited (and has been) to help with the Christmas decorating. Each Christmas is more fun to me as a mother, because as my children get older, they enjoy it and understand it more, and I love for them to be a part of it with us. I absolutely LOVE Christmas!

Tomorrow will be a BUSY Sunday, but will undoubtedly have it's special moments and blessings. I am thankful for this wonderful weekend.
