In the car today:
Jace: knock, knock
Mom: Who's there?
Jace: potato
Mom: potato who?
Jace: potato on my head! (proceeds to hoot and holler)
Jace: knock, knock
Dad: who's there?
Jace: fence
Dad: fence who?
Jace: fence on a tree on my head!!
Jace: Mom, it's your turn. Knock, knock
Mom: (sighs) who's there
Jace: banana
Mom: (sighs again) banana who?
Jace: banana on a orange on my head!!!
Two or three "knock, knock...on my head" jokes follow...
I give Kendall an annoyed look. But then my more enlighted husband explains, "Keri, it's the 'on my head' part that is the common factor here, and makes it funny to Jace." That did it. I understood where my son was coming from. I was able to get on his level, and then I could enjoy and genuinely laugh at the rest of the knock, knock jokes. (all of which ended with "on my head!") thanks honey

Ummm - he is TOTALLY cheesy like his momma!! I figured that you would be rolling on the floor!
I am glad you did laugh in the end. Little boys are so silly.
