To start a vegetable garden, ask your mom for some help, first. She said that we would need to dig up all the grass.
Next, I hand-tilled the dirt.
You can also use a rake.
Oh yea, it might go quicker if your mom helps!
After that, we dumped alot of bags of dirt on top. Hey, didn't we just dig all the dirt out? That didn't make alot of sense to me, but that organic stuff tastes pretty good!
You have to spread it. You can use your new rake mom got you...
...or your feet.
It's a good idea to survey the work from time to time.
(And no, you don't HAVE to garden naked. I just happened to be doing a little potty-training on the side. But never mind that...let's focus here, people!)
Go buy some baby plants at the nursery.
Dig a hole for the tomato plant.
Don't forget to stick the tag in, we don't want to forget what we're growing!
Last, mom says that God will make it grow if it has water.
Gotta' be "sponsible". So I guess we better clean up the trash.
...and wash our tools when we're finished. That's what my daddy always does.
Coming Soon...Big, Red, Juicy Tomatoes!

Did Jace (in the nudey picture) "fertilize" the dirt before or after you added the yummy tomato plants...? LOL! : )
OH - MY - GOODNESS!! I LOVED this post!! I read it to Ryan and showed him the pictures and we both giggled and thought it was darling! His gloves and rake crack me up! I actually was scrolling down and when I came to the nudist behind the fertilizer - I said "Funny - she took a pic pretending he was naked" - ahaha. Nope - he really was! LOL DARLING pics - I wish we could share in the fruits of your labor. Nothing beats ripe, juicy tomatoes!!
((Good luck potty training, Jace!))
I didnt know you were a blogger! How fun to get to read the antics of Jace and the words of wisdom from his momma! The nudey pic had me laughing pretty hard, too! Funny stuff... that pic will be on the senior slide show! :o)
Now when are you and your naked assistant gonna round the corner and build me a garden?
Wow! Fun to see you in the blogger world. I, too, was a late arrival (compared to others around here). And even though I don't always keep up (Bekki prods me on) it is a fun way to let others know what's going on with you and you with them. Love the garden!
love your blog.
i've heard of the naked chef, but never the naked gardner!
it's great.. he'll just love those pics in about 10 years.
